METHOD AND ORGANIZATION
The workshop combines a solid theoretical foundation with an in-depth practical session on animal mandibles. The program is structured to offer progressive learning: starting with maxillofacial anatomy and then applying the knowledge gained during a guided and highly educational Hands-On.

TOPICS AND MODULES
This course will delve into orofacial anatomy and common surgical techniques on animal tissues. Implant placement, split crest, sinus lift and GBR technique will be covered, as well as methods of bone and connective tissue harvesting from the palate.

  • Detailed knowledge of the anatomy of the oro-facial district;
  • Familiarity with the surgical field in which we operate on a daily basis;
  • The most common surgical techniques described directly on animal tissues;
  • The placement of implants in suitable bone and complex situations;
  • Split crest, major and minor sinus lift, GBR technique;
  • Intraoral bone harvesting and connective tissue harvesting techniques from the palate.

09.00-09.15 Introduction of the course. 09.15-11.00 Theoretical Part. Anatomy of the maxillofacial region, specifically: the mandible, maxillary sinus, and floor of the oral cavity. 11:00-11:30 a.m.: Coffee break. 11.30-13.00 Theoretical Part. Topographic anatomy of the maxillary and mandibular regions. 13:00-14:30 Lunch break. 14.30-17.00 Practical Part. Practical instruction in maxillofacial anatomy on animal mandibles. 17:00 Questions and answers – closing session
