01 Compatibility and osteoconductivity
THERMAGEN heat shock treatment preserves the natural bone matrix and its porous structure; the decellularisation process, carried out at low temperatures, avoids ceramisation, resulting in effective vascularisation and cell colonisation at the site and complete resorption of the bone substitute.
02 Quality raw materials
The raw material of bovine origin is used in the production process and is carefully selected and subjected to strict controls according to current regulations. The choice of raw materials from cattle under 24 months of age, born and bred in Italy, and subjected to the strictest veterinary controls, guarantees a top-quality, safe and traceable end product.
03 Certified biocompatibility
The combination of the choice of raw material and the THERMAGEN low-temperature process results in a medical device with high biocompatibility, in compliance with ISO 10993-5:2009. Biocompatibility guarantees

Technology and Nature for True Regeneration
RE-BONE® is the result of an advanced process designed to preserve the structure and functional properties of natural bone tissue.
Thanks to the Thermagen protocol, we avoid the so-called “ceramization” of the bone substitute, ensuring a fully resorbable, highly biocompatible material with optimal macro- and microporosity to promote integration with the host tissue.
Every stage of the process is carefully designed, from the selection of raw materials sourced from healthy, traceable and environmentally responsible farming — to matrix decellularization, developed by a team of bioengineers and validated by recognized academic institutions.
The result is a bone substitute remarkably similar to human bone tissue, capable of promoting chemotaxis, stimulating osteoblast proliferation and supporting neoangiogenesis, thanks to the preservation of the extracellular matrix’s original three-dimensional structure.
Biocompatibility of the RE-BONE® Bone Substitute
Laboratory studies and scientific literature have demonstrated the regenerative efficacy of the RE-BONE® bone substitute manufactured by UBGEN®.
By culturing adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells with the RE-BONE® bone substitute, an increase in cell proliferation was observed, reaching up to 35% more cells compared with the initial cell population after 14 days of culture.
Cell viability tests on osteoblasts cultured with the RE-BONE® bone substitute or with another commercially available bovine-derived biomaterial demonstrated higher cell survival: 90% for the comparison sample versus 96% for the RE-BONE® sample.
